Enjoy relaxing in the magnificent native garden. Spend time on the water enjoying fishing or many of the recreational opportunities the lake has to offer. Visit the famous Manipurua Hot Pools (which are only accessable by boat) onboard our 32 foot restored bridge decker boat, Ratanui.

There are numerous activities close by including bush walks, white water rafting, golfing and a thermal wonderland.

Take a gentle stroll to our local Store/Cafe and German Beer Garden or travel by boat and sample a cup of their famous coffee. You can also enjoy a fine dining experience within minutes either by car or boat in Okawa Bay.

The Love Shack at Te Pohutukawa is a self contained hideaway on the shores of Lake Rotoiti with it's own jetty and is located at Okere Falls, 20km North of Rotorua, and nestled on the edge of Lake Rotoiti, here: -38.02787; 176.35135

Te Pohutukawa is ideally located to visit the beaches of Whakatane and Tauranga areas.

• Wow! we stayed for four nights and had a fabulous fun filled and very relaxing family holiday! Guy and Jess are the perfect hosts, such warm and friendly people. Guy took us to the hot pools on his beautiful boat, the kids loved the kayaks. We didn't want to leave and we will definitely be back. The perfect kiwi bach in a spectacular setting.
